| Description |
Provides a variety of employment services for clients who have a physical or other type of disability or who suffer from socio-economic barriers. Provides skill assessment, life-skills training, career education, planning and counseling. Provides job training, job search preparation, and job placement services. Also offers a vocational program which includes training courses in word processing, computers, and retail sales. Also offers weekend and evening classes on various subjects, in collaboration with various organizations. Accepts donations of clothing and small housewares which are then sold through its retail stores. Provides speakers on the topic of job training. Also has offices located at 28 W. 25th Avenue, San Mateo (650-525-2780) and 809 Lincoln Avenue, San Rafael (415-456-5273). Participates in the Community Voice Mail program which provides voice mailboxes for job-seeking homeless clients. |
