| Description |
Provides health information and education services for women of all ages. Services include classes and workshops; support groups; consultations with a nurse practitioner; gynecological cancer recovery program; osteoporosis program; massage therapy (including prenatal massage); free makeovers for women with cancer; Internet access and tutoring for women 60 and older; and volunteer opportunities. Maintains a lending library of books, audio/videotapes, medical and consumer periodicals, and newsletters. The library is open to the public; however, one must be a library member to check out materials. Operates a boutique which sells products to help cope with temporary hair loss; breast surgery; vitamins; and books about women's health. Publishes the "Women's Health Resource Center Newsletter." |
