Description The council is a planning group comprised of 37 individuals who represent the Department of Public Health, community-based organizations, behavioral scientists, epidemiologists, policy makers, planners, racial and ethnic groups, persons affected by HIV or infected with HIV disease. Individuals are selected to represent the epidemiologic profile of HIV and AIDS in San Francisco. Sponsors public forums, and community meetings. Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. (call for location); members of the community are invited to participate in public comment.
